Where to eat in Brussels
Le Variétés
Hi folks ! If you are looking for cool place for a date, this might be the place to be. Why is that ? Well let me explain it to you.
- First of all the place itself is pleasant. It just looks like an old French restaurant from the 50's.
- It's not too noisy so you can have a quiet talk with your date.
- The food is very good although the portions are a little bit too tiny. I had the roast chicken (surprisingly not too dry) with fries (excellent) and mushrooms (got enough of them, which is rare in a restaurant).
- Prices are a bit high but it's worth it. Count 20€ per person.
- Waiters are extremly polite and efficient.
When you're done with the food, you can head to the Belga right next to it and have a drink with your date. But don't expect to have a conversation there cause the room is way too noisy.
Le Variétés - place Sainte Croix, 4 - 1050 Bruxelles (Ixelles)
tel : 02/647 04 36 (open every day)
Enjoy your date !
Kind regards,
Bob Harris
